Seasons
The past few days deserve a long-overdue and cheery welcome back.
Bright warmth, baby blue skies, cotton candy clouds, and pleasant breeze are some of the things we have lacked.
House windows up and car windows down and evidence of happiness in the air.
Days when all of our senses are vibrantly alive, and people release much bottled-up despair.
The sun breaks through the death of winter and reminds us that hope returns.
Each season has its place, but often winter overstays and has been all too stern.
The magic of white snow turns to dirty slush, and the sun is absent for days on end.
The dreariness tries to suffocate us until we cannot pretend.
Overcast, gray clouds of doubt and negativity hang thick in the atmosphere.
The darkness puts a stronghold against the light and cackles at the broken as it echoes in our ears.
The gloom dangles heavily over us, and just when we think it will never break or let us go.
Beams of sunshine break through and hug each of our souls—
The promises and reflections of God’s glory. Let us embrace them.
I was feeling poetic. Thanks for allowing me to share with you in this type of format this week. ♥
Ecclesiastes 3:1 For everything, there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven.
Reflection Questions:
How do you feel after a long, hard winter when the season finally changes?
Seasons can also be about the seasons of our lives. Are you in a good season or a challenging one?
Remember:
The promise of changing seasons also holds true to the most challenging season of our lives, as well. Hold on! Hugs!
Hoping you find a place in my space. ♥
